Coronavirus COVID-19 Information
We just wanted to give you some information regarding Coronavirus and our position.
We are following government advice and will continue to do so. We will review this situation continually and update everyone as necessary.
If you have any concerns regarding symptoms, you should contact your GP or call 111 which is the NHS Medical Advice Line. Up to date information can be found at: www.gov.uk. We feel it is important that we keep perspective and local authorities are sending out advice regularly, so this is what we will be referring to.
The current advice is as follows: Signs and symptoms of COVID-19:
• Difficulty in breathing
Generally, these infections can cause more severe symptoms in people with weakened immune systems, older people, and those with long term conditions like diabetes, cancer and chronic lung disease.
Currently, general principles we should all follow to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses are:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water or use alcohol santiser that contains at least 60% alcohol if handwashing facilities are not available
• Cover coughs, sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin
• People who feel unwell should stay at home and seek advice from their GP surgery or call 111 which is the NHS Medical Advice line
• We should all be washing our hands:
Before leaving home
On arrival to day service
After using the toilet
After breaks and sporting activities
Before food preparation
Before eating any food, including snacks
Before leaving day service
On arrival at home
We ask that you keep us informed if you have any specific concerns. We will keep you updated as and when necessary, in the meantime if you have any questions, please contact Jemma or Becky on 02380 860005.
