We are located in Netley Marsh near Totton. We use our nearby community and meet up with friends in Ringwood and Chandlers Ford. Service users live all over the New Forest and some people come from Southampton. We can offer transport to those who may need it.
We aim to be a fully accessible service. Current services users include those who have a visual impairment, hearing impairment, wheelchair users and people with complex communication needs. We are all trained in the use of makaton. Our person centred approach means that if you have a need and we require training to meet it – we will do so.
Our range of activities is varied so people are able to choose what they do each day they come to Windward.
We try and make all of the activities on offer accessible, including things like sailing, swimming and sports. We often go for day trips locally and access much within our local community.
We offer activities within our centre like arts and crafts, cooking, computing, dance and drama.
Here are just some of the activities we offer:
Cafes when out and about
Computers & Internet
Cycling, including adapted bikes
Skittles & Bowling
Visits to local libraries
And much, much more….
If there is something new you would like to try, let us know because if we can do it….we will!
